Footwear product photography

Footwear product photography must be thought out in every detail. We take photos that leave no room for guesswork.

A good product photo of footwear is primarily about showing the texture of the material, important details of the item and accurate reproduction of its color.

Product photography of shoes – packshots that show more than just the cut

Shoes are sold in paintings. The customer wants to see not only how they look from the side, but how they are built, how the sole lies, where the stitching runs. If the photo does not show this, the product loses to the competition.

Do shoe packshots sell better than model-led shoes?

In our opinion, it is always worth presenting a new product in different ways.

On the one hand, we need to show a packshot, i.e. shoes on a white background, so that nothing distracts our customers, and so that they can see the details of the products. For this, you need the ability to zoom in properly.

Good photos of shoes are usually in the range of 3-6 pieces.

In addition, it is worth presenting shoes on a model. These are more vivid photographs presenting the product in a natural environment. 2 photos should be enough.

What will be the minimum number of products to be photographed?

We do not have a minimum quantity of goods required to start a photo session. However, you will get good prices from us if you order at least 31 photos (approx. 10 pairs of shoes)

What to avoid to take good photos of shoes?

If you have decided to commission photos or take them yourself, we advise you to watch out for the following factors that may make the photo unattractive.

A lot depends on the specifics of the order.

The most common mistakes are m.in:

  • inappropriate background,
  • incorrect use of lamps – both illuminating the background and the object,
  • blurry photographs – slightly shaky,
  • before taking the photo, the photographer did not clean the objects – which is especially important in leather shoes,
  • incorrectly selected white balance – then the photo becomes blue or yellowish,
  • incorrect framing – a very common mistake in the case of shoe photography,
  • Incorrect vertical-horizontal orientation.
